The collection comprises of approximately 64 400 patents, 80 000 regulations, and hundreds of patent registers.

• Sciences (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, earth Sciences, Biology, Environmental Sciences, etc.)
• Engineering Sciences (Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architect Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Information Sciences, etc.)
• Health Sciences (Theoretical, Clinical, Pharmacological and Health Sciences, etc.)
• Agricultural Sciences (Plant Cultivation and Gardening, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary, Food Sciences, Forestry and Wildlife Management, etc.)

The collection constitutes of legal deposit copies from 1952 to 1995. From 1995 regulations are purchased only.  The patents collection is closed, it has not been developed since 1995.

Catalogization and accessibility:
The documents cannot be found in the online catalogue, their catalogization is done with the help of reference books. The collection is housed in the UNL Engineering Library. The documents are for in-library use only, they cannot be borrowed and photocopied.
